  1. Review common artificial intelligence tools currently available for use in clinical and medical education settings.
  2. Review key similarities and differences in ethics policies across major Michigan hospital systems.
  3. Discuss the capabilities, limitations, and potential risks associated with artificial intelligence tools in medical education and clinical practice.
  4. Apply approaches for integrating community health priorities into medical education and practice to address critical challenges in health care.
  5. Explain the principles and importance of core instructional skills in clinical teaching, including giving feedback, conducting evaluations, and fostering self-directed learning.
  6. Describe the key elements of community engagement and its importance to OUWB.
  7. Define key areas of stress in modern medical practice.
  8. Review the Rationale, Purpose, Goals and Compelling Needs of a Longitudinal and Immersive Medical School Curriculum in Quality Improvement and why this should matter to Medical Students.

Registration

Medical Education Week highlights innovative research and advancements in medical education at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Its purpose is to honor faculty members who contribute to the improvement of medical education. The diverse and multifaceted program includes presentation of poster abstracts and prominent speakers from the medical education field who are invited to share insight and expertise.

OUWB’s Medical Education Week traditionally is held in person at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital or virtually via Zoom.
